R. Earl Brown, Ph.D., D.Min.
Biography Earl is President and Founder of Giving People Hope International Ministries. He is an Adjunct Professor for the Masters in Leadership Coaching degree program at Regent University. In corporation with local churches on three continents he has created and developed numerous local and international Non-Profit Organizations. Earl served 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E8). While in the Navy, he also served as a Pastor and Assistant Pastor of churches in Florida and Virginia. Also, he served as Acting Pastor of two churches, simultaneously for six months, during the illness of the Pastor. After leaving the Navy, Earl served as a Faculty/Administrator at Norfolk State University for three years. He has served in numerous appointed and elected positions in church and civic organizations in America and Africa. Earl holds BS and MA degrees from Norfolk State University, a BTH, MTH, and PhD. from International Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Marriage and Family Ministry from Regent University. In addition to his academic education, Earl is a Certified Transformational Leadership Coach and Trainer and Certified Human Behavior Consultant. He is a trained PREVENT (Personal Responsibility: Values, Education and Training) Facilitator. He is trained as an Addiction Counselor through the R.E.S.T. Philly Project. He is trained in the Prevention Relationship Enhancement Program, (PREP) and certified in PREPARE/ENRICH, both are premarital and marriage enrichment programs. Also, Earl is a Certified Family Wellness (Survival Skills for Healthy Families) Instructor and has completed training to become a Certified Family Mediator by the State Supreme Court of Virginia. Earl has conducted training for the United States Navy, Social Service Agencies, Community Colleges, High Schools, plus churches in Africa, America, and Europe. Earl's life purpose is to enable individuals, families, and organizations to be transformed through coaching and coaching-based training so that they can experience deeper relationships and live their God-given destiny. Earl resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife Linda. They have four (4) grown children and five (5) grandchildren.
